Barbarella
Retro futuristic figure inspired by the iconic Jane Fonda film of the same name. I find inspiration from the world around me, my surrounding environment, movies and tv, advertising, etc... and this deluge of information seeps into my brain gets processed and informs the color schemes and positioning of the figures I create.
Acrylic Paint on an Upcycled Canvas that had previously been covered with holiday tulle, glitter, and paillettes. I coated the canvas with gesso beneath the figure and some sections of canvas were covered in glazes made from acrylic paint to reveal hints of the canvas’ previous life.
